SEADLING has been selected as a Top 10 finalist in the third edition of the FoodTech Challenge, a global initiative by the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Tamkeen, and ASPIRE.
From our roots in Borneo to building seaweed-based solutions for global agriculture, this milestone reflects the growing relevance of our work beyond Southeast Asia. As part of the programme, we’ll be heading to Abu Dhabi to collaborate with industry peers and experts, using the UAE as a living testbed for desert agriculture and sustainable food systems.
As the only company developing fermented seaweed biostimulants, SEADLING is uniquely positioned to support arid and water-stressed regions like the Middle East, where improving soil health, crop resilience, and productivity is essential for future food security.
The challenge offers a USD 500,000 prize fund, enabling pilot deployment in the UAE and supporting scale-up across the Global South.
