We’re growing — and we’re thrilled to welcome Liana May as SEADLING’s new Sustainability Officer!

At SEADLING, we believe seaweed is more than just a product — it's a powerful, nature-based solution for climate resilience, ecosystem restoration, and community wellbeing. That’s why bringing the right people into our team is mission-critical.

Liana joins us with an exceptional background in Applied Psychology (University of Chester) and Indigenous Studies (Auckland University of Technology). Her career reflects a unique ability to blend behavioral science, environmental stewardship, and indigenous knowledge — making sustainability not just a strategy, but a shared, lived experience.

She has worked closely with local and indigenous communities in Aotearoa New Zealand, and most recently with Forever Sabah, where she supported community-led conservation and co-designed programs grounded in equity, ecological balance, and cultural wisdom.

As we scale our work — especially through our partnership with Yayasan Hasanah and Ministry of Finance Malaysia — Liana will lead initiatives that center local voices, promote sustainable seaweed farming, and drive innovation in community engagement and environmental impact.

We couldn’t be more excited to have her on board. Liana brings heart, experience, and a deeply thoughtful approach to our growing mission.
